The thing is that most IP addresses already exist in database and are assigned with approximate location in Google and other search engines. Google may wrongly detect your location and provide you with search results that are meant for someone from another city or country.

There are a few possible reasons why Google Maps might have shown your location in the incorrect place. Your location settings may be incorrect. Make sure that your location services are turned on and that you are giving Google Maps permission to access your location. You can also try restarting your device.

On your computer, open Google Maps. Right-click the place or area on the map. This will open a pop-up window. You can find your latitude and longitude in decimal format at the top.
